Kandipodi(Spicy toordal powder)
Ingredients:
Toor dal- 2 cup
Moong dal- 1 cup
Chana dal- 1 cup
Red chillies-10
Cumin seeds-2 spoon
Pinch of Asafoetida ( optional )
Salt to taste.

Procedure:
- In a dry skillet, fry all the three dals separately, i.e. one after another.
- Allow them to cool. Make a fine powder of all the three dals together in a mortar.
- In a dry skillet, fry the red chillies.
- Once the chillies are cool, grind them , along with cumin seeds and asafoetida(optional), to a fine powder.
- Add the chilli-cumin-asafoetida powder and salt to the dals powder and mix well.

The spicy Kandipodi is ready! Allow the powder to cool .Store it in an air tight container to preserve its aroma.
