Pesarapodi(Spicy Moongdal powder)
Pesarapodi ( Moongdal powder ) is another spicy powder which tastes delicious, when
taken with rice adding some ghee.
Recipe:
Ingredients:
Moong dal(Pesarapappu)-1 cup
Red chillies- 8 (normally we add the small red chillies called Cheema mirapakayalu)
Asafoetida (hing-inguva)-2tsps
Salt to taste.

Procedure:
- In an iron skillet, fry the Moong dal(without adding any oil) till it turns to light brown.
- Tranfer the dal to a plate and let it cool completely.
- Fry the red chillies also, without adding any oil, so that they grind easily.
- Once the dal cools,grind it along with the chillies and make a fine powder of it.
- Add the asafoetida and adjust the salt according to your taste.
- Always store the powders in an airtight container for its freshness to remain longer.
