Popu Annam
Recipe for Popu Annam:
Ingredients:
Rice- 1 cup
Green chillies- 2
Ginger- 1″ inch piece
Curry leaves- 5 or 6
Mustard- 1 tsp
Cumin- 1 tsp
Cashews- 6
Urad dal- 1 tsp
Chana dal- 1 tsp
Salt to taste

Procedure:
- Wash the rice and cook it in a pressure cooker.
- Heat a skillet and add two spoons of oil.
- Add the mustard, cumin, cashews, urad dal and chana dal and wait until the popping sound is heard.
- Add the finely chopped ginger and green chillies along with the curry leaves and fry for a minute.
- Add the cooked rice to it and fry for few minutes until, the ingredients mix well with the rice.
- Adjust the salt to your taste.
- Serve it hot with some curd or pickle of your choice.
